AtoZ Staff Help Build Habitat for Humanity House in Oxnard

February 22, 2012

A to Z Law attorneys Susan McCarthy, Stuart Nielson, Robert Krimmer and his wife, Chris LaValle, put down their pens and picked up hammers on Saturday, Feb. 18. The four volunteers participated in the Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County’s “build day.” As they helped build a new home in Oxnard, working along side its future owners, the volunteers assisted the nonprofit organization’s work to provide adequate housing by constructing simple, decent homes in partnership with people in need.

“Building a home with Habitat for Humanity is about building a better community,” said McCarthy. “We all feel so lucky and blessed to live here and want to help another family live here too.”

Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that challenges people to provide adequate housing and eliminate homelessness in partnership with those in need. For more information about Habitat for Humanity or to volunteer, visit www.habitatventura.org.
