Estate Planning and Trust Administration - Elderlaw
Estate planning is about trusts of all types, wills, taxation, succession planning and working through family dynamics. It is forward looking. Our attorneys have the education and experience to handle your most complicated problems, but are also sensitive to (and appreciate) those whose needs are more simple.
In Estate and Trust Administration we assist in the administration of trusts - often after a death. We also handle probate, conservatorships, guardianships, and other proceedings, where that is necessary, and avoidance of all that when that is possible. This is a field where experience counts, and we have decades of that. We can help from the most mundane to the most arcane.
Elder Law is a new field, somewhat related to conservatorships. It involves helping the disabled and older folks transition their estates into years when governmental benefits may become important and dealing with the quagmire of rules regulating that transition. We have the specialized education required for this practice. We have a working relationship with Private Professional Conservators and Private Care Managers. We rely upon and support the work of California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform.
