Melissa Sayer, a Senior Attorney in the Business Group at A to Z law, will be a guest speaker at the 2013 Board Leadership Institute program held at the Santa Barbara Foundation on August 20th. Sayer will discuss fiduciary duties for officers and directors in the non-profit sector, including the duty of loyalty and duty of care.
The Santa Barbara Foundation has partnered with Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) on its Board Leadership Institute program in order to enhance the knowledge and skills of local board members. The Santa Barbara Foundation is bringing this established program to Santa Barbara County to provide training to nonprofits serving Santa Barbara County residents.
