Attorney Melissa Sayer will give a presentation at the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Center for Nonprofit Leadership on Thursday, Feb. 26 focusing on a nonprofit board member’s fiduciary responsibilities. Sayer’s presentation will run from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the VCCF office at 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd. in Camarillo.
The event will be an opportunity for both new and seasoned nonprofit board members to convene to network, share information and address mutual successes and challenges unique to their leadership roles. Sayer, a faculty member of the VCCF Center for Nonprofit Leadership, will clarify board members’ legal duties of care, loyalty and obedience to their nonprofit organization.
