Cynthia Thomas is the Firm Administrator at AtoZ. As the firm administrator, Cynthia oversees the human resources, facilities, accounting, and administrative needs for the entire firm.
Cynthia obtained her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from MSMU/UCLA. While attending law school at night and working as a paralegal for a family law firm in Los Angeles, Cynthia decided to change her educational path to law firm management and obtained advanced certifications in legal management, law firm accounting and human resource management.
Passionate and committed to law firm management, for over 25 years, Cynthia has dedicated her career to managing law firms. She has held various positions, from human resources manager and law firm financial director to legal management consultant at law firms throughout the state of California.
Cynthia is active member of the American Bar Association where she currently serves as the associate editor of ABA’s Law Practice Division Law Practice magazine and the co-vice chair of the ABA LP Lawyer Leadership and Management Committee. She is also a board member of the ABA’s Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Division, GPSolo eReport Board. Additionally, she a board member of the ALA Greater Los Angeles Chapter, where she is currently serves as the magazine editor.
As a Certified Six Sigma Champion, Cynthia is regularly invited to speak and conduct workshops on law firm management as well as operations.
In her free time, Cynthia, a native Californian enjoys hiking with her dog, taking long walks on the beach, and traveling. Cynthia is an avid reader.
